JENNIFER GILES

Beyond Legal is an Atlanta-based family law practice founded by Jen Giles and based on a mission to provide its clients with accessible,top-notch, down-to-earth legal services. Offering expertise in family law and divorce mediation and litigation, Beyond Legal further innovates its relationship-based practice by reproducing it in the realm of business dissolutions.

Jen launched her relationship-based legal career in 2005 with Atlanta Legal Aid Society, helping low-income people navigate the complexities of the court system at the most vulnerable times in their lives. Her commitment to people getting their legal needs met inspired a transition to private practice 12 years ago, allowing her to train her focus on family law issues. Beyond working directly with clients in her daily practice, Jen pays it forward, teaching and coaching the next generation of lawyers through trial techniques and mock trial programs at Emory Law School. Jen went to law school in Saint Louis University and graduated with her J.D. in 2005.

Jen grew up in Canton, Ohio, home of the NFL Hall of Fame. She shares a home with two cats, a husband, and two dogs, one of whom was rescued from the streets of India (to find out which one, you will have to ask her yourself). Jen bakes (and tastes) pastries, runs trails, and has visited five of the seven continents with hopes to discover the remaining two (Antarctica and Australia) before she punches out her final time card.
